IN THE KNOW: My Fave 5 of American Fashion Podcast

American Fashion Podcast

American Fashion Podcast is a fashion industry gem.

If you’re not familiar, American Fashion Podcast is hosted by Charles Beckwith, Seth Freiderman and Lisa-Maria Radano. The three are industry veterans that invite guests from every corner of the industry to talk about their experiences, share insight and opinions about what’s going on in the fashion industry. I have been following this podcast for about a year, and have listened to every single episode. Some of the episodes, I’ve even listened to more than twice. There are jewels sprinkled all throughout the episodes that are both practical and applicable to fashion industry professionals at any level.  I've learned so much about the fashion industry via this podcast.

I'd also like to point out that this show has a little something for any interest in the fashion industry. If you’re interests lie in having your own store, episode #46 featuring Jeff Staple may tickle your fancy. If you’re curious to know what financing fashion is like, episode #58 with Tim Dunn would be a great listen. If you want to be a fly on the wall to a profound conversation with your favorite designer’s favorite designer, you have to hear episode #77 with Siki Im.

Even episodes that aren’t in my field of interest, I’ve listened to because I was able to get a peek into a segment of the industry that normally is closed off to someone like myself. Take a listen to all their episodes on their website at american fashion podcast

Below I’m sharing the 5 episodes that really stand out to me. Mind you, 4 out of 5 of my favorite episodes feature fashion writers. Perhaps I have some reflecting to do. Career change maybe? Haha!

 Enjoy!
