IN THE KNOW: What We Want to Wear - According to Google

Google Analyzes Apparel Searches

I think this report is worth a look by anyone in mass market retail. From my own perspective, I'd narrow the scope down to mass market retail for Juniors and Young Men's. You might even find this information useful if you're still developing spring '16 items.

Since we're well passed Spring 2015,  I want to test this report. I'm curious to go out and see for myself how many of these search terms turned into actual trends. I'll even speak to a few of my buyer and planner friends and see what they have to say.

In any event, feel free to take a look at what Google thinks we want to wear by clicking here.  The link is to the abbreviated report, but download the full PDF file to see a break down of search terms, their origins and their trajectory. Pretty neat stuff.

I haven't seen a Summer 2015 Trend Report, or any indication of a Fall 2015 Trend Report, so perhaps this was a 'one-shot-deal' with the exception of the annual 'Google Top Chart' list.

If anything pops up, of course, I'll share.
